Review & GIVEAWAY : Splash in the Boro

By Anchor Mom/Ella S and Splash in the Boro July 25, 2017

We were recently invited to go to Splash in the Boro for this review. My opinions as always are mine, my families, or anchor moms/families attending the experience on behalf of Macaroni Kid Augusta.

We arrived around 11am and to our surprise the line at the tickets booth wasn't long at all. The lady at the ticket counter was polite and issued us our tickets with a smile on her face. As we made our way inside the waterpark we noticed not one, but two field trip school busses, we thought that it was going to be very crowded, but honestly it wasn't. The lines that led to the slides were not long, the brand new wave pool wasn't packed, and the splash areas for kiddies wasn't packed, so you were actually able to sit down and relax while watching your child play and not worrying about losing your child in the crowd. If you ask  the Macaroni Kid what his favorite activity was, he will tell you that he truly enjoyed the wave pool, and lazy river. If you asked my son, who is five, he will also tell you the wave pool, and slides. If you ask myself and my husband, we loved the lazy river. There is a lot to do, for all different ages.

We loved the fact that there were life jackets by nearly every pool that you are able to put on your child.  I will give you a small tip, if you are planning on visiting and splashing in the wave pool, put a life jacket or floaties on your child, the waves are tall and some are strong. We loved the idea of many lifeguards being there, and ready to do their job if there was a need. We drove nearly two hours to get there, but the drive was definitely worth it. My tip- arrive early to score some seats in the shade, there aren't many chairs under umbrellas, but I am sure if you get there right when they open you will get a space in shade. Have a great time splashing! ~ Anchor Mom ~  Ella and Family

Splash in the Boro Family Waterpark & Aquatic Center is located inside beautiful Mill Creek Regional Park in Statesboro Georgia.

The park features a 5-lane Mat Racer Slide, a Tube Slide Trio, a Dual FlowRider, an 800 ft. Lazy River, an interactive tree house with wading pool, and a large splash pad and slides for toddlers, and two large lane swimming pools. It’s newest feature, just opened this season, is the 33,000 sq.ft Wave Pool complete with it’s own tree house and slide structure!

Daily admission tickets are based on height due to some slides having a height requirement. Children and Adults 48” tall and over are $18.99 each and those under 48” tall are $13.99 each. Age 2 and under are free. We do have the option to buy your tickets online for $16.99 each and avoid waiting in the ticket line. Please note that all tickets online are $16.99 because we cannot verify height—so if you have children that are under 48”, you may want to just visit the ticket line. We do have a military discount. With your military ID, admission prices are $13.99 for anyone over 48” tall and $10.99 for anyone under 48” tall. There are no parking fees. We do have lockers available for rent. Small lockers are $5 each and Large lockers are $8 each. Your ID is required for a deposit. We do have life jackets available for anyone that needs them, free of charge. You are welcome to bring “puddle jumpers” for toddlers, as long as they are US Coast Guard approved.

After August 6, we are closed weekdays and open only on Saturdays and Sundays through September 3. Our last day of operation for the waterpark is Monday, September 4 for Labor Day. Hours of operation will then be 10 am – 6 pm, and Sundays from Noon – 6 pm. Labor Day hours will be 10 am – 6 pm.
We offer three different concessions stands with various items including hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken fingers, sandwiches, pizza and much more. However, if you would like to bring your lunch and have a picnic out in Mill Creek Park next door, you are welcome to get your hand stamped and return to the park when you are done with your lunch. However, please note that if we are at max capacity, you may have to wait in line to re-enter. In the event we hit max capacity (usually only Saturday mornings and we haven’t hit capacity yet this season), it is a one-out/one-in policy.
Splash in the Boro also rents private cabanas for your use during your stay at our park. Cabana rental is $70 for the entire day and includes 8 bottled waters. We also offer group rates for 20+ people.
