Here are some top picks for Labor Day Weekend in Atlanta and the vicinity.


MARIETTA ART IN THE PARK (Sept. 2-4)

The 31st Annual Marietta Art in the Park will showcase 175+ fine artists and plenty of entertainment for the entire family in historic Marietta Square. For the first time, Art in the Park includes the One Piece Project, a benefit for nonprofit organizations and celebration of art and beauty. It all takes place amid a variety of dining options and historic sites. The family-friendly weekend also includes the Chalk Spot street art display, benefiting the Marietta High School Art Club and the Children’s Art Alley, a free interactive “make and take” area. Live music and great food too!

Location: Glover Park in Historic Marietta Square 

Admission: Admission is FREE.

CELEBRATE FREEDOM CONCERT (Sept. 2)

Billed as the largest outdoor FREE one-day concert in America, Celebrate Freedom is a day-long concert/festival featuring Christian artists. Hosted by 104.7 The Fish.

Location: Jim R. Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Rd. NW, Marietta GA 30008

Featuring: Mercy Me,  Crowder,  For King & Country, Danny Gokey and more.

Hours: Gates open at 11am. Concerts begin at 12pm and end around 11pm.

NOSHFEST (Sept. 3-4)

Celebrate Jewish food and at this unique event celebrating Cobb County’s diverse community in a fun two day festival.  Enjoy delicious Jewish and regional foods prepared by our local partners and browse booths of interesting and unique crafts and goods that will make great gifts and keepsakes.  Learn about Jewish culture through interactive exhibits and tour the sanctuary with a member of the ritual committee.  Children will enjoy an interactive kid’s zone complete with inflatables, games and face painting.  Enjoy special entertainment featuring demonstrations, dancing and live music throughout both days.

Hours: Sunday, 11am to 5pm. Monday, 11am to 4pm

DRAGON CON AND DRAGON CON PARADE (Sept. 1-4)

Dragon Con is the internationally known pop culture convention held each Labor Day Weekend in Atlanta. Organized for fans, Dragon Con features more than about 3,000 hours of comics, film, television, costuming, art, music and gaming over four days. More than 65,000 people are expected to pack downtown Atlanta over the Labor Day weekend, and Atlanta’s largest parade, the annual Dragon Con Parade, will step off Saturday, September 2 at 10 a.m.

STONE MOUNTAIN PARK LABOR DAY WEEKEND CELEBRATION (Sept. 2-4)

Stone Mountain Park honors and appreciates our Everyday Working Heroes in a Labor Day Weekend celebration featuring the Lasershow 2.0 followed by an extended fireworks display on all three nights! Visit the website for a flash sale ($19.95) on adventure passes to spend an entire day at the park. Want to see the evening show only? No admission charge - pay only for parking ($15).

Attraction Hours: 10:30 a.m - 8 p.m.

CHICK-FIL-A KICK OFF PRE-GAME FUN (Sept. 2-4)

Fanzone Presented by Coca-Cola

Beat the heat, have tons of fun on interactive games and sponsor attractions, grab a snack, and more. Interactive football games to test your skills. Tons of giveaways, contests and fun from the PNC Main Stage and more.

Tailgate Town Presented by Home Depot

Tailgate Town Built by The Home Depot is the ultimate free pre-game tailgate destination for fans. This outdoor fan experience will feature interactive sponsor displays, a wing eating contest and games!

LABOR DAY WEEKEND AT LAKE LANIER ISLANDS (Sept. 1-4)

CALLAWAY GARDENS SKY HIGH HOT AIR BALLOON FESTIVAL (Sept. 1-4)
