Shelter Animals Matter is a nonprofit that supports other nonprofit rescues. SAM (Shelter Animals Matter)’s vision:
SAM desires to provide funding for treatment of every HW+ shelter animal while at the shelter or in foster care. We can accomplish this with the help of individuals who share our passion for homeless shelter animals and want to join our mission through tax deductible donations. S
AM will be a resource for pet owners to learn about heartworm disease, how it can be prevented and the options to treat it.
NOTE: SAM is not a RESCUE. We provide funding only for heartworm treatment of shelter animals. We do however, seek to connect interested fosters with the Augusta Animal Services foster program. This foster program is vital to giving these animals a calm and loving environment while in treatment. Please contact us if you are interested in being a foster for one of our wonderful animals.
