  1. If you have social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, etc), NOW is the time to stay active.  This is a great opportunity to share services by other local businesses and to ask them to do the same for you.
  1. Do you offer carry out and/or delivery services?  This is a good chance to see if there are ways your business can contribute.  Think about keep-busy kits for kids, cleaning kits for parents, etc.  Here is a growing list of businesses offering carry out, delivery, and curbside services.
  1. Buy gift cards to local businesses that you can use later.  If this isn’t a service your business offers, consider looking into offering them online.  This is a good resource: https://www.giftcards.com/gcgf/small-business-giftcards
  1. Buy local when it is possible!  Eggs, honey, meat, produce, and more.  These are things you can get from a local business or local farms.  Consider staying out of big box stores that contribute to coming into contact with more people.
  1. Shop online.  If your business doesn’t offer online services yet, can you sign up on a site like Square, that makes it easy to list products, collect payments, and track your profits?  https://squareup.com/us/en
  1. Consider a donation or opening up donations for your customers to help you through this trying time.
  1. If your business or one you know of will suffer financial hardship, here are some tools that will soon be available to help:
  1. Bartering can be a helpful tool to assist businesses in need of support.  Maybe a product or service you have to offer could be beneficial to other businesses.  Consider offering an exchange of goods or services to help keep costs down for everyone.

  2. Offer online classes, courses, or videos.  If you print shirts, offer to show the community your process.  Do you have a course you offer?  Consider breaking it down into small sessions to put online.  Maybe you’d like to host a virtual dance party or an online scavenger hunt.  There are a million ways you can do this that could fit your business.  Get creative!  Macaroni Kid Evans will be happy to share it.
