Certain stores are offering early morning hours so seniors and those with underlying health concerns can shop with less worry. Here are the stores, as of now March 20, that are offering special shopping hours:
Bi-Lo: Seniors and high-risk customers can shop early from 8 – 9 a.m., Monday through Friday, in all stores. All pharmacy locations will open at 8 a.m. on weekdays for prescription refills, influenza & pneumonia vaccines, and customer counseling .
Dollar General: The first hour of each shopping day is dedicated to only senior shoppers.
Harvey's: Seniors and high-risk customers from 8 – 9 a.m., Monday through Friday, in all stores. All pharmacy locations will open at 8 a.m. on weekdays for refills, influenza & pneumonia vaccines, and customer counseling.
Publix: Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 7 – 8 a.m. are senior shopping hours for customers age 65 and over. This change will take place starting Tuesday, March 24, and continue until further notice. Publix Pharmacy will also open at 7 a.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Target: The first hour of shopping each Wednesday is reserved for the elderly and those with underlying health concerns.
The Fresh Market: The first hour of each weekday is reserved for seniors and those most at-risk of coronavirus. 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., Monday through Friday.
Walmart: March 24 through April 28, Walmart stores will have one hour reserved for senior shopping every Tuesday (customers 60 and older). Senior shopping will be available one hour BEFORE regular business hours. The pharmacy and vision center will also be open.
Whole Foods Market: Whole Foods Market stores will service customers who are 60 and older one hour before opening to the public.
Winn-Dixie: Senior and high-risk customers can freely shop from 8 – 9 a.m., Monday through Friday. All pharmacy locations will open at 8 a.m. on weekdays.
